A few words about us

NNV was established in 1998 and started with research into wind resources in the county of Nordland. This activity became gradually more concentrated on wind measurement on Sleneset, which was considered to be a particularly promising area for wind power development. At the time, the plans had involved 13 windmills with a combined installed capacity of 9.75 MW.

In 1999 it was decided to put the project on hold due to poor financial circumstances.

 

In 2003 work commenced again with the objective of placing greater focus on Sleneset and the development of further wind power projects in the county of Nordland.

 

NNV is now working with 8 windfarms at various stages of development, of which Vardøya has received a licence, while licence applications for Sleneset and Sjonfjellet have been submitted. See more about the projects here or download our project brochure:
