Vardøya: A landmark for Nord-Norsk Vindkraft.
On 29.04.2009, Nord-Norsk Vindkraft was granted a licence to build a wind power plant at Træna.
It is planned that Vardøya wind power plant will have an annual output of 16 GWh, which corresponds to the annual power consumption of ca. 800 households.
The planned start of the development is spring 2010.

Sleneset: Important landmark reached
The County Commission in Nordland made an important resolution on 28.10.2008, when it recommended that NVE should grant a licence for the Sleneset wind power plant.
Local committees, the municipality, the regional commission and the county authority are now in agreement that there will be focus on the development of wind power in Sleneset.
This is an important landmark in the long process towards being granted a licence.
